Q & A
Why did you choose your profession?
I chose HR as my career path during my undergraduate study. For me, it's all about the variety and impact of the work. As an HR professional, I get to engage in a range of activities like business strategy, recruiting top talent, training and growing people’s careers, performance management, and employee relations. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the workplace.
Who is the one person who has done the most, to shape you into who you are today? How was the person significant to you?
This would be my mom who was a single mother of four and worked two jobs to allow us to thrive in school and into what we wanted to achieve in life.
What has been the greatest accomplishment of your life so far? Is there anything you wish to do even better?
I would say being able to work full-time and complete my MBA in two years by attending school on the weekends and evenings.
How would your peers and team members describe your responsiveness as a leader?
• Results oriented.
• Mentor and coach of others.
• Ability to make tough decisions.
• Get things done mentality.
• I do what I say I will do.

TESTIMONIALS
I am writing this letter to highly recommend Lisa Kidd as an exceptional Human Resources Executive and someone I admire as a leader. I have known Lisa for 7 years, when we were both employed with Helen of Troy. I was the General Manager for North America.
Lisa joined Helen of Troy at a critical juncture in our business when we were moving from a family-owned business to a professionally run global organization. HR leadership was greatly lacking before Lisa joined Helen of Troy and it was reflected in our culture, regional fragmentation, leadership divisiveness and ultimately in our business results. Lisa quickly drove change as a strong influencer, as a decisive, strategic leader within our Global Leadership Team, and in transforming our global human resources group to drive impact to our overall corporate culture. We became a company where respect, passion, innovation, and gratitude were expected at all levels of the organization, where top talent was valued, spotlighted, and encouraged, and we quickly became an employer of choice that was sought by top talent.
Lisa is a visionary in her field and understands the strategic stepping stones needed for short- and long-term changes. Her strengths are evident quickly with her engaging people skills and her ability to communicate change in a compelling, motivating manner to the broader organization. I believe Helen of Troy’s cultural transformation was a key building block in our meeting and exceeding financial expectations consistently, as well as achieving a historic company milestone of reaching $ 2 billion dollars in revenue in 2020.
I would welcome the opportunity to work with Lisa again in the future.
Deborah Mudway, SVP & GM for the Americas - Marketing & Sales, Helen of Troy
It is with full confidence that I recommend Lisa Kidd for the CHRO position within your organization. I believe that Lisa possesses the right kind of knowledge and experience that would be required for this position.
I first met Lisa in 2018, when she was CHRO at Helen of Troy. I was the CIO during the same period. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with her in leading change, strategy development, and HRIS system implementations. Under her leadership, Helen of Troy successfully navigated through a tremendous growth period of the organization. She also led the successful global implementation of Workday, a HRIS SaaS/Cloud HR and Payroll system. This is an individual who works hard always and maintains a high standard of professionalism in all that she does.

Lisa is an excellent communicator and is known for being someone who can get to the root of issues, offering up real solutions. She led Helen of Troy through the complex Covid-19 years, providing executive leadership, human caring and sensible HR policy guidance. She is highly respected in her field. There is no doubt in my mind that Lisa has everything it takes and more, to be a very successful in the leading the HR organization.
I highly recommend Lisa for this position knowing that she’ll bring professionalism, knowledge and integrity to the table. Lisa really would be an excellent addition to your organization.
